Current trend is the 1899 El Nino year. The direction of the tracking line has turned towards the positive cumulative temperature quadrant. Warming is occurring and El Nino is developing. During El Nino, South Florida dry season is likely wet. Ethiopia's droughts are associated with strong El Nino. The Blue Nile Basin rainfall could be drier than normal.
